Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bireby (the "App") and the bireby.com website (the "Site") process your personal data when you use them, and the rights you have. By using the App or the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Who We Are
Your personal data is processed by Bireby as the data controller. For any request or question regarding this Policy, contact us at info@bireby.com.
2. Data We Process
a) Account & identity
Your email address; when you sign in with Apple or Google, the unique identifier and (if provided) name shared by that provider.
b) Profile & preferences
Your working mode (tutor/coach/consultant), field, language and currency preferences, and notification settings.
c) Business content you enter
Client/student/customer records (name, contact, notes, rate), session records, and payment/balance records. You enter this content; you are responsible for it as described in Section 4.
d) Technical data
Device type and operating system, app version, push notification token, and basic logs needed to operate the service.
e) Subscription data
The status and renewal date of your Bireby Pro subscription. We do not store your payment or card details; payments are processed solely by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
3. How We Use Data
- To create your account and manage authentication and sessions,
- To provide the core features (client, session, payment and balance tracking),
- To send reminders and service notifications,
- To verify and manage Pro subscription access,
- To ensure security, debug issues and improve the service,
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Your Responsibility for Content
For the client data you enter, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and process it and for complying with applicable data protection laws. Bireby acts on your instructions with respect to this content and processes it only to provide the service.
5. Sharing & Service Providers
We do not sell your data for advertising or marketing. To provide the service, limited data is shared with:
- Apple and Google — authentication (sign-in) and in-app payments/subscriptions,
- RevenueCat — subscription status management (no payment/card data),
- Expo — delivery of push notifications,
- Hosting provider — storage of your data on secure servers.
6. International Users & Transfers
Bireby is available internationally, including to users in the United States. Some of the providers above operate infrastructure in different countries, so limited data (e.g. sign-in identifier, subscription status, notification token) may be processed outside your country. Where required, such transfers are carried out under appropriate safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for any period required by applicable law. When those periods end, or when you delete your account, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.
8. Deleting Your Account & Data
You can permanently delete your account and all of your data (including clients, sessions and payments) from within the App via Profile → Delete my account. This action cannot be undone.
9. Security
Data is protected in transit using encrypted connections (HTTPS); session tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access, loss or alteration.
10. Automated Decisions
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not carry out profiling.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Residents of certain regions (for example the EEA/UK or California) may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. 12. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is published here and the "Effective date" is updated; material changes may be communicated in the App or on the Site.
